1.Moderating of assignments, examination papers and portfolios of evidence in line with the NQF-Level Descriptors
a.Moderate assignments, examination papers and portfolios of evidence as requested. The due dates will be communicated to the Consultant but should generally be prepared six months prior to the examination taking place in May and October each year.
b.A moderator’s report is required for each assignment (1 and 2), examination paper and portfolios of evidence moderated. The report is to be completed in the prescribed electronic template.
c.Claims for moderation will only be accepted in the prescribed form “Request for Official Payment” and accompanied by the moderator’s report.
2.Moderate assignments and examination scripts
a.Moderated assignments and scripts must be returned to the Assessment Section within the time specified by the Assessment Manager.
b.Late returns will result in the reduction of remuneration
c.A moderator’s report is required for each assignment, examination paper/script and portfolios of evidence moderated. The report is to be completed in the prescribed electronic template.
d.Claims for moderation will only be accepted in the prescribed form “Request for Official Payment” and accompanied by the moderator’s report.
a.Provide feedback to the Head of Faculty regarding problems or issues arising from the content and/or matters hindering students from completing the subject successfully. (Template: Report Template)
1. Qualification specialisation in the SeSwati language.
2. First degree or level above. (NQF Level 7 qualification) Relevant industry experience beneficial.
3. Experience with assessment design, development and moderation.
4. An understanding of the South African regulatory framework and higher education requirements in relation to assessment design.
5.Applicants must be affiliated with an institution of higher learning.
