JOB DESCRIPTION:

The National QA Manager is responsible for integrated QA across all sites and programmes and is expected to ensure academic integrity and regulatory compliance of programmes offered by the respective sites of Damelin and CTC. This requires assurance that all programmes, programme structures and assessments are aligned in accordance with Umalusi/DHET/QCTO/CHE requirements, policies, procedures and accreditation criteria. Adhere to the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure that both HET and TVET area complies with these policies and procedures and other best practices and that all sites and programmes are compliant with regulation.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

•Learner recruitment, selection, placement, RPL and CAT
•Assessment Management
•Academic staff capacity and development
•Institutional planning, resource allocation and governance
•Stakeholder surveys on the quality of provision
•Benchmarking of standards

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:

1.A graduate required but postgraduate preferred
2.At least 3 years’ experience in higher education institution and/or TVET space
3.At least one year experience in Quality Assurance Management.
4.QCTO, Umalusi, DHET, ETQA, SAQA NQF, CHE and regulatory literacy required.
5.Familiar with formal assessment and moderation practices, design and development, and programme structuring is advantageous.
6.Excellent computer literacy is essential especially in MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel.
